Michele is the dynamic President and Chief Executive Officer of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. Since March 2004, Michele has been leading this 1,000-plus member organization as it seeks to create accessible and friendly business programs in Mercer County that revolve around the needs of the members it serves.
Michele's deep commitment to the community is evident in her involvement in numerous organizations. She sits on the boards of Mercer County Community College Foundation, Mercer County Bar Foundation, Trenton Public Education Foundation, Mercer Alliance to End Homelessness, and the American Conference on Diversity. Previously, Michele has served on the Washington Township and Eastampton Township Boards of Education.
As a community activist, Michele has unique ability of engaging corporate as well as non profit organizations. Her vision of creating a Mercer County that is diverse, energized, and community-focused, has attracted many leaders and organizations to work closely with her.
An example of her dedication and her effective leadership was witnessed after the YWCA Trenton was vandalized October 2008. As soon as Michele heard the news, she drove to the YWCA, assessed the damage first-hand, and within an hour mobilized an entire community that corraled around the YWCA, helping the organization to get back on its feet.
In 2006, she received the World of Community Leadership Award from the Girl Scouts of Delaware Raritan Valley. In 2004, Michele was honored with the Stephen Wensley Award for Community Service by Project Freedom. She has also been recognized by the New Jersey State Bar Association (Young Lawyer of the Year), Trenton Rotary (Paul Harris Fellow Award), and the Southern New Jersey Regional Early Intervention Collaborative.
Michele resides with her family in Robbinsville, NJ. The YWCA Trenton proudly honors Michele.
