Spanish Courses

This course is designed to immerse you into what has become a necessary secondary language: Spanish.

 

After just 8 sessions, you will have learned some basic phrases and simple vocabulary that you could use when interacting with Spanish speakers. This course is designed for you to be able to engage in practical conversations that could take place while traveling, at work, over the phone, or in any other setting.

 

Level 1:

Level 1 classes meet every Monday and Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:00 pm. Classes began on Monday, January 11, 2010 and will conclude Monday, March 8, 2010.

 

Level 2:

Level 2 classes are currently meeting every Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Requirements: completion of Level 1 or an over-the-phone assessment. If you are interested in this class, please call Cecy Jimenez Weeast at (609) 396-8291 ext. 406.

 

 

Location and Cost:

All classes will take place at the YWCA Trenton: 140 East Hanover Street in Trenton. The cost is $95 for the entire course.

About the Instructor:
Kaely Harrod is an accomplished language instructor. For years, she studied in Sevilla, Spain and San Carlos, Costa Rica. Her diverse cultural background brings a unique approach to teaching another language. Kaely is currently a language instructor for the YWCA's English as a Second Language (ESL) program. She also teaches at Mercer County Community College.
